Ryan's 1st Haircut

Monday, January 19, 2009

Ryan's hair was getting so long he was starting to look like a hippie. I keep putting it off because it meant my baby was growing up, but I finally gave in and gave him a haircut. We strapped him in his highchair and gave him some toys, and surprisingly he didn't cry at all! He was actually laughing because he thought it tickled. :) Now he looks like a cute little boy instead of a baby.

Here is pictures of before....

Here is pictures after..

Look at all that hair!

Lots to do!

We've been really busy lately, so I haven't had time to update the blog. Here's a bunch of pictures of stuff we've been doing lately.

Birthdays! Kaitlyn turned 7 on December 4th and Ryan turned 1 on December 19th.

Christmas! Kaitlyn's 1st grade class preformed Christmas songs about a week before Christmas and Kaitlyn sang too! She was really cute! For Christmas we had to keep the presents up on the table so Ryan would not unwrap them. We did finally put them out Christmas eve in the afternoon, and I only had to re wrap 3 presents :)

Playing in the snow! The kids loved the snow. Kaitlyn keeps coming in with fogged up glasses because she stays out until she freezes. Ryan kept falling in the snow face first and laughing. They both enjoyed the snow.

Ryan Walks and Kaitlyn Reads!

Tuesday, December 2, 2008

Ryan has been walking for a couple of weeks now and is getting really good. He runs around the house now. Here's a little video of him.

Kaitlyn is getting better at reading. Since the beginning of the school year, she has jumped 3 reading levels. She loves reading, and she even reads to Ryan.

Thanksgiving

We had are own Thanksgiving dinner this year because both our parents had other plans. It was yummy. Kaitlyn ate a whole can of olives by herself! Ryan ate quite a bit o food, including turkey, mashed potato's, stuffing, and roll. He sure loves eating big boy food now.

Friday we went to Wal-mart at 5am and it was a madhouse! We also decorated for Christmas, and Ryan loved it. He was fascinated by the lights.

Halloween

Halloween was lots of fun for the kids. Kaitlyn was a pink bunny rabbit and Ryan was a little lion. They got LOTS of candy. First, we went to my parents and went to their Trunk-or-Treat. Then we went to Justin's parents and went Trick-or-Treating around their neighborhood. Needless to say, the kids ate too much sugar. Here they are in their costumes.

Update on the Kids

Sunday, October 12, 2008

It's been a long time since we posted, so here's a bunch of stuff that happened.

Ryan has learned to crawl and to pull himself up on stuff. He also has started to walk around holding onto the couch. He tries to let go and stand on his own, but falls on him bottom after a second or two. He is a crazy mischievous little guy. He loves to dance (as you can see below). He pulls all the movies out of the entertainment center, laughing the whole time. He likes to get into EVERYTHING, and steals everything he can reach. He claims stuff by putting it into his toy box. We found my keys and Justin's scriptures in there before. He has six teeth (four on top and two on the bottom) and is always working on more. :)

Kaitlyn has been doing great in school. We met with her teacher who said she's sweet to all the other kids and is reading great. She had her school pictures a couple weeks ago, and this time she smiled! Kaitlyn lost another tooth lately and has glasses now. She is growing up into a beautiful girl. She already loves clothes and shopping.

Ryan the Big Boy

Thursday, August 28, 2008

Ryan has been getting bigger every day. We had to buy him a big boy car seat and a new bathtub. He loves his new duck bathtub and will play in it as long as we'll let him.

He gets more mobile all the time. He usually scoots on him bottom using his hands. Now he's getting on all fours, but hasn't figured out how to go forward on all fours yet. He is starting to get into stuff though. Yesterday he opened Justin's scriptures and ripped a couple of pages.
He's also getting his fourth tooth and it grumpy about it. Poor baby. He smiles the most when he's with his sister. The other day he was laughing so hard he couldn't catch his breath because Kaitlyn was throwing toys on the ground and laughing. The are really cute together. We sure are lucky to have such great kids!
